陈诉人简介： Dr. Laurence Robert Schimleck，现为俄勒冈州立大学木材科学与工程系教授；佐治亚大学沃内尔林业与自然资源学院兼职教授（曾于2001-2012年在佐治亚大学事情）。获墨尔本大学博士学位（1997年），具有在澳大利亚和美国凌驾25年的科學研究经历，发表学术论文100余篇。陈诉主要内容为介绍林学和木材科学领域的多个交织研究项目。

主要學術兼職：國際木材科學院院士（IAWS理事會成員），國際木材解剖學家協會成員（IAWA期刊的副主編），木材科學與技術協會成員（教育與認證委員會成員），國際林聯（IUFRO）第五學部學科副協調員，木材質量聯合會聯席主任（2006-2012年）。

Dr Laurence Schimleck is a Professor in the Department of Wood Science and Engineering at Oregon State University. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia where he was a faculty member from 2001-2012 and worked at CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products (Australia) from 1996-2001. He has degrees in Forestry from Melbourne University.

His presentation will give an overview of various research projects in which he has been involved that incorporate aspects of both forestry and wood science.
