Marc D. Abrams教授恒久致力于老龄林树木生态学、滋扰生态学和中大西洋森林类型的植被分类的相关研究。并在Forest Ecology and Management, Tree Physiology, Forest Science，Plant,Cell and Environment等植物生态学领域SCI著名期刊发表文章160余篇。同时Marc D. Abrams教授照旧Canadian Journal of Forest Research, Tree-Structure and Function等著名期刊编委会副主编。
